THING 6 - DIFFERENTIATION

Part 2 - Diverse Learning

It is always a challenge to adapt certain things, (whether they are resources, new ideas, etc.), to make them pertain to physical education. This is one of those cases where most of these techniques to support diverse learners are for the "paper and pencil" or "sit down" type of classes, not an activity class like physical education. We do not use a text book for physical education, nor do we do a lot of reading and writing. Our main goal is for our students to be physically active during our class. With that being said, the one area that I think could apply the most would be "Visual". I was able to find some good illustrations on Google Images of various yoga poses that would be helpful when teaching them to our students. Having a picture is useful so students can see the proper form. It is helpful to have visual reminders to reinforce how they should be doing the different poses. I can print them off and put them on a poster on the wall.
